Boipeba - Bahia

Boipeba is an island in the Tinharé archipelago, off the southern coast of Bahia. Cars are not allowed, and that absence sets the pace of the place: you get around on foot, along the sand, or by boat from one beach to the next.

The island belongs to the municipality of Cairu, in the Valença microregion and immediate region. Velha Boipeba and Galeão, the two best known settlements on the island, are districts of Cairu. Morro de São Paulo, in the same archipelago, lies nearby.

What brings most visitors here are the beaches and the natural pools that form at low tide, in a rustic and quiet setting.
