Cachoeira do Patrício

Cachoeira do Patrício

A 32 m waterfall framed by forest and rock walls in Piatã, Bahia. Cold water, a short walk in and rappelling for those who want it.

Cachoeira do Patrício is a 32 m waterfall that drops along rock walls, with forest closing in around it. The water is properly cold and the setting is quiet, the kind of place you sit at for a while.

Getting there is easy: roughly 22 km by car and about a 10 minute walk to the falls, at a light level of effort. No trail experience needed.

Beyond the swim, the rock wall is used for rappelling. There is no entrance fee, but visitors are asked to keep impact to a minimum: carry out everything you carry in and leave no trace in the forest or the pool.

The waterfall is in Piatã, a municipality in the Seabra microregion. Trips through the area often pair it with other sites in the same municipality, such as Cachoeira do Cochó, Serra da Santana and Garimpo da Mutuca.

There is an active experience in the Vivai catalogue that visits Cachoeira do Patrício.
