About Vivai

Vivai is a Brazilian marketplace for tours with local guides and agencies, founded in Salvador in 2023, with online booking, payment in instalments and insurance included.

Brazil is full of incredible experiences, but finding a tour that is authentic, safe and good for the people who live there is not always easy. Vivai was created to change that.

Our mission

To make travel in Brazil simpler through technology, and to strengthen community-based tourism through sustainability.

How it works

On our website and app (iOS and Android), you will find tours created by guides and small agencies who know the destination inside out. Choose, book and pay in one place, with clear prices, instalments and insurance included.

A fair model for people who make a living from tourism

Partner guides and agencies pay no sign-up fee and no monthly fee. Vivai earns a commission on bookings, so we only earn when our local partner does.

Travel that leaves something good behind

Local development

We give visibility to guides who have no budget for big marketing campaigns. Every booking supports the local economy of the people who welcome travellers.

Care for the place

We encourage responsible practices that reduce environmental impact and help preserve the nature and culture of each region.
