Two waterfalls with natural pools a short walk from Vila do Capão, in Vale do Capão, a district of Palmeiras, Bahia. About 50 min on the trail.
Two waterfalls visited on the same outing, a short way from Vila do Capão. About 50 minutes of walking lead to Cachoeira do Rio Preto, and on the way back you stop at the Rodas, which also has pools for swimming.
The walking route adds up to around 3 km, with a light to moderate level of effort. By car, the distance from Vila do Capão is about 1 km, which makes the pair an easy plan for anyone staying in the valley.
Vale do Capão is a district of Palmeiras, in Bahia, in the Seabra microregion. Palmeiras is one of the six municipalities of Parque Nacional da Chapada Diamantina, along with Andaraí, Ibicoara, Itaetê, Lençóis and Mucugê. For anything inside the park, ICMBio recommends hiring a visitor guide, since the trails are not signposted.
There is an active experience in the Vivai catalogue that visits this site.
