Ibicoara sits in the Seabra microregion and in the immediate region of Vitória da Conquista, and is one of the six municipalities that share the Chapada Diamantina National Park, along with Andaraí, Itaetê, Lençóis, Mucugê and Palmeiras. Being in the municipality is not the same as being inside the park, but for anything within its boundaries ICMBio recommends hiring a visitor guide, since the trails are not signposted.
