Cachoeira do Buracão - Ibicoara
Transport not needed

A waterfall over 30 m high in Ibicoara, Chapada Diamantina, with pools for swimming and a 3 km trail starting at the Baixão hamlet.
Véu de Noiva drops from more than 30 metres and forms good pools for swimming where the water lands. It is a waterfall to take slowly, since the walk in asks little of those who do it.
The trail starts at the hamlet of Baixão, in Ibicoara, and runs 3 km to the falls. It is mostly flat and shaded, rated light to moderate in effort, with an average walking time of 1 hour. Getting to the trailhead means about 30 km by car.
Ibicoara is one of the six municipalities that share the Chapada Diamantina National Park, along with Andaraí, Itaetê, Lençóis, Mucugê and Palmeiras. For anything inside the park boundaries, keep in mind that trails are not signposted and ICMBio recommends hiring a visitor guide.
The same municipality holds other attractions in the Vivai catalogue, such as Cachoeira do Buracão, Cachoeira da Fumacinha por Baixo (via Ibicoara), Cachoeira do Licuri, Cachoeira Rio Preto and the Fazendas de Café da Chapada, the coffee farms of the Chapada.
There is an active experience in the Vivai catalogue that visits Cachoeira Véu de Noiva.
