Encanto Beach - Fifth Beach

Encanto Beach - Fifth Beach

Also called Quinta Praia, Praia do Encanto is the farthest beach from the centre of Morro de São Paulo, with long sand and tidal pools at low tide.

Praia do Encanto is the last in the line of beaches at Morro de São Paulo, also known as Quinta Praia, the fifth beach. Being the farthest from the centre shows in how quiet it is: long stretches of sand with few people, coconut palms and vegetation coming close to the shore.

At low tide, natural pools appear. The pace here suits anyone who came to rest rather than to find movement. The setting is well preserved and more secluded than the beaches near the centre.

Morro de São Paulo belongs to the municipality of Cairu, in Bahia, in the Valença microregion and immediate region. Elsewhere in the same municipality, the Vivai catalogue gathers other points of the archipelago, among them the natural pools of Moreré and Garapuá, Praia do Tatiba and the Gamboa sandbank.
