The Rio Mucugezinho forms a string of pools ending at Poço do Diabo, a 20 m waterfall near Lençóis, Chapada Diamantina. Swimming, zipline and rappel.
The Rio Mucugezinho runs through a series of pools, and the best known of them is Poço do Diabo, where the water drops 20 metres. You can swim in the pools, and the site also hosts zipline and rappel.
The access point is 18 km by car from the centre of Lençóis. From there to the water it is about 1.5 km on foot, roughly 25 minutes in total, with light to moderate physical effort.
Lençóis is one of the six municipalities that share the Parque Nacional da Chapada Diamantina, along with Andaraí, Ibicoara, Itaetê, Mucugê and Palmeiras. Being in the municipality is not the same as being inside the park, but it is worth keeping in mind what applies within it: ICMBio recommends hiring a visitor guide, because the trails are not signposted.
The Vivai catalogue lists other places in the same municipality, such as Cachoeira do Mosquito, Cachoeira do Sossego, Ribeirão do Meio and Vale do Pati.
There is an active experience in the Vivai catalogue that includes the Rio Mucugezinho and Poço do Diabo.
