Things to do in Parnaíba

Parnaíba is the city you leave from to reach the Delta do Parnaíba on the Piauí side. Boat trips depart from here and run through the delta's rivers, islands, mangroves, dunes and riverside communities.

The city has a historic centre, restaurants and places to stay, and works as a base for travellers who want to explore the Piauí coast without changing address every night. It is also one of the cities on the Rota das Emoções, which makes it a natural stop for anyone continuing on to Maranhão or Ceará.

On the administrative map, Parnaíba sits in the Litoral Piauiense microregion and gives its name to its own immediate region. For now, the Vivai catalogue has no active experiences in the city.
