Cachoeira do Cochó is a 12 m waterfall that drops into a clear pool, with a small strip of pale sand along the edge, which makes it an easy place to settle in with children.
The way there starts in Piatã, a town in the Seabra microregion of Bahia. It is about 24 km by car, 10 of them paved and 14 on a dirt road in good condition, roughly 50 minutes of driving.
From the parking spot, the trail is flat and takes around 10 minutes on foot. The effort is light and there is no entrance fee.
